Tommaso,

IOW, you believe that timing the market is possible. A casual search of the financial literature will show you that this is impossible for the average investor on a long term basis.

T, I also have a 1982 story. Though I am often referred to here as a permabear, I was the guy who took The St. Paul's equity portfolio from 40% invested to fully invested in two weeks in August of 1982. I also bought hand over fist at the bottom in 1974 and loaded up with tech stocks in 1991. I am only bearish when stocks are overpriced, and even then I have some longs. BTW, I bought more long bonds than anyone in the world at the top of the interest rates in 1984 and continued doing so until the bottom in 1986. Of course, the bonds and the St. Paul money were not my own, so it wasnt' like it really counted. <VBG>

Also, I want Mary to pass on to the Mother of All Bubbles that her baby, the stock market in the USA and especially the Nifty Fifty, has a face that would gag a maggot. <g>
