Dear hlpinout: Gabelli defended his investment in funeral services company
Loewen Group Inc. as a ''cemetery play.'' Gabelli's funds hold
about 5.2 percent of Loewen, whose share price has plunged about
86 percent in five months to 2 1/8 today.

Thought you might like to know I was in a class action suit on this company and won. Wouldnt trust them if I were you. JDN

This AV spinoff/IPO thing. I am just remembering that when PEP spun off the restaurants I got 10 shares of YUM for every 100 shares of PEP that I owned. Though it is clear that CPQ management has yet to decide how this will be handled........I believe they will do something very similar.
++++++++++OT++++++++I added to that YUM almost immediately (My broker's advice. I hate boring stocks.) and, dare I say it, YUM has nearly doubled and CPQ.....well you know that story. Holding CPQ is something like having a baby...a lot of pain and suffering for not very much progress.
I continue to hold on for dear life.
Later.
And, what about the nerve of those guys starting that other CPQ thread and saying our thread was too OT....Sheeeesh.
Sueponine.
