Company Focus: An older, wiser Novell takes another shot. Since a series of near-fatal errors, Novell has bounced back with new leadership, a soaring stock price and directory products on the forefront of networking. The software maker finally looks poised to capitalize on an industry it helped to found.

Thanks Loring, Fred S., Peter S., Paul F., Toy, Jack W. and others for insightful comments on potential NDS market growth for Novell in 1999 and beyond. While Novell may not have the earnings ramp-up in 1999 >50+ cents (per Fiondella's comments on analysts' targets etc), I still believe that if Novell grows the awareness and alliances for their directory product (and enhance NDS, with more ZEN's), the price of stock will grow and grow. Yes Peter S., I tend to agree, $30 by year end, and even 35 if pleasant surprises keep rolling out of Provo.
