G-7 clown meeting this weekend. Clown time Indeed. It will be interesting to see what develops... BTW, Greenie is 72 and will not be back after his term is up in summer of 2000, Rubin will not be back after fall of 2000, Clinton ho ho ho....The market should start to worry at some point about the fabled crash protection team riding off into the sunset. For those not watching Cnbs 2 weeks ago...WSJ correspond promoted this angle: the TIme Mag article played up Larry Summers role and influence a great deal ...saying in effect he was the only one who could talk to /understand Greenspan thus anointing him as Heir apparent to Rubin.
