Wiley,

My own time frame for trading has changed since I first started this thread. It used to be 1-4 weeks. Now it is more like 1-5 days. So far I seem to be having decent luck at this level, and I don't have to fret over the frequent downturns seen in a longer hold. But then, my papertrades tend to be longer term (since I don't fret as much when my own money is not at stake).

For TA purposes, I normally look at daily charts first, then hourly, 15-minute, and even 5 minute. The dailies are used to determine the right market for trading, and the others for entries and exits.

I haven't yet quantified any of this, because right now it is in the experimental stage (though working!).

TC.
