The problem with Dell is not Dell, it is that there are indications that the market for PCs may be dropping unexpectedly and considerably this year. Look at Dell's own projections in their news conference when they reported earnings this month. IMHO, Dell could experience a rapid decline in sales growth even as Dell increases market share. If the PC market does contract, all PC makers will experience a slowing of growth in sales, or even a decline in sales. Look for evidence in the reporting of this quarter's sales beginning in April. If PC makers begin to report declining sales and earnings for this quarter, all of the PC stocks will drop. If buyers are cutting back, even Dell will have trouble satisfying investors.
