Dear Nancy, please note that I didn't say this, " IMO it is very dangerous to say the persecution of the Jews by the Church throughout history has been from the hand of the Lord." I did not say persecution came from the church, I said simply that it was from God. He works out His will as He chooses. His will was to provide thru the Jews a redemption for mankind with a Messiah on a cross, indirectly provided by the Jews. I say God bless the Jewish people, God picked them to suffer for the good of us sinful humans. IMO, this is a display of His love and mercy. What else could He do? Sin had corrupted His beautiful creation, and a sinful mankind couldn't redeem himself. The Jews were chosen for this purpose and Judaism was the instrument thru which He worked. Notice that nearly all who are called into His service suffer. Strange isn't it, but that seems to be the way things work.

"Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." (2 Tim 3:12 NKJV)

Nancy, one day in the heavenly kingdom I'll get to hug your neck by the grace of God.

God loves us, love one another,

David

Nancy, have you read "The Merchant ofVenus"? A good lesson on mercy and law(justice). Me, I like mercy. And if we don't forgive others, the Lord will not forgive us. Scary, isn't it? The power of forgiveness is tremendous.

""But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Mat 6:15 NKJV)

You do know that I love you, don't you? Having not seen, we love.

In Christ Jesus,

David
