Thomas,

EUREKA!!

I figgered it out! I wasn't paying any attention to the PCMS chart you posted, just the OBV. I couldn't figure out why my WSC charts all matched up well with WOW, but yours didn't.

Your chart was for 10 days. Mine was for 6 months. On their charts of 10 days duration and less, WSC breaks the day down into half hour increments, which I just didn't notice until now. With 6-1/2 hours of trading each day, WSC shows 13 increments each day. It then complicates things further by displaying 26 volume bars daily. That's what their short term OBV is based on.

Now, the question is, can this actually be used? Obviously, your wife has found some value for it. Suppose she would care to explain how she uses this? Please!

Since I don't have volume figures for these 15 minute increments, I can't put together a spreadsheet to see if I can match up with WSC's OBV for the short term. But, I believe that's what they're doing.

I've read nearly everything Granville wrote about OBV. I don't recall his ever mentioning an application like this. That doesn't render it useless, however. I'd sure like to visit with your wife about her interpretation. Did you notice that the line goes absolutely flat toward the end? Check a 2 day chart and it's real obvious.

KLA

Thomas:

Couple thoughts on two of these three picks:

CLST - crossed above 200DMA, stochastics look good, Zack's rates a strong buy. Under accumulation. My MACD does not confirm however.

MU - I shorted MU from 68 to 61. It may now bounce. Positive Money Flow into MU last week.
