CMGI Increases Ownership of Magnitude Network

January 7, 1999

CMGI Inc. said that it will exercise its option and increase its ownership stake to 88 percent of Magnitude Network, a provider of Internet services to radio broadcasters.

In July last year, CMGI bought almost 20 percent of Magnitude. Since then, the company has worked with Arbitron New Media to develop Net audio and video ratings research and expanded its affiliates network to almost 200 stations nationwide.

They found a name for the company: it's called iCast.

Magnitude Network and iCast are different companies.
iCast has a relationship with Magnitude Network.
