I promise I wasn't intending to be snide, rather trying to point to the fact that men's concerns are different, and typically more "base" than women. Consider the frequency of sexual ideation in men vs. women: studies have shown that men have sexual thoughts with a frequency 2-3 (maybe more) times that of women. Men can take the most innocuous reference to almost any object or subject, and do a sexual "riff" at the drop of a hat. On a relative scale, IMO, this points to the fact that men are more concerned, and think about their own sexuality more than women do, and hence are more likely to take offense at any deviance in the "pack" that might threaten their sexual role identity. Women's occupying less of their brainspace with sexual ideas leaves more room for concern with other kinds of things . . . I appreciate your talent for belching, but really, do women sit around and see who can go farthest in the alphabet on one belch, while giving points for style, tone, articulation, and expressiveness . . .?
