Just posted a chart for DELL on coolhistory.com

FWIW, here's what I see:

DELL is now squarely back inside of its long-term uptrend channel and getting some support from the 50-day moving average right at 80. Side-note: One of the talking heads on CNBC said yesterday that DELL was a screaming buy anywhere below 80 and I agree. The MACD and OBV are still recovering from the big drop and will continue to look negative for a while. The bottom of the uptrend channel is now at 75 and rising. Any move below that level would be a "BAD THING".

Disclosure: I am long term long on DELL.

Paul,

$1500 for a TV is expensive compared to $700 for a laptop + $50 for broadband access (my predictions for 2/3 years).

However, as for the family aspect of TV viewing, you are most probably right. I watch TVs only very infrequently and was bringing my experience of reading books (a personal exercise) into TV viewing.

But on the flip side, would you buy a $1500 digital TV to surf the web and post in the SI?
