We can resurrect two years of posts, but unless you believe in the long-term viability of Amazons model no one will convince you. You have to discover it on your own. To lift from Ted Kennedy, some people look at Amazon's stock price and ask why, some people ask why not. After two years the "why not" crowd is evidently on the right track.
