Uncle Frank,

Don't be so certain about this "choppy period following Q1 results" as the only thing that is certain in the market today is EVERYONE WATCHES CNBC all day long trying to out think the Market!

So, though I do believe certain patterns in the market have historically played themselves out over the years, I do not look to them with comfort going forward. Take the "January Effect" this year. It actually started in December as everyone tried to anticipate it. With this post Q1 choppy period, I believe the market started selling in it early this year as investors rushed to beat it. In other words, trends are beginning to induce new trends as the general public starts to believe anyone can become the next Warren Buffet. This is actually a good thing, it just makes looking at "predictable" periods not so predictable.

Take care,
Teflon
