MB, DELL's financial statements are a pure joy to read after trying to read and interpret CPQ's and many other companies. I think your criticism of DELL is unwarranted. Certainly, there is no doubt they are making money and growing their revenues at an outstanding rate. DELL is so efficient at using capital that it may not need to build large cash reserves for the development of new businesses. I believe that E-commerce is eventually going to be the dominant mode of doing business. I do not think I would invest in a lot of retail office buildings over the next ten years! JK
