Jim, the key is unit. Steel unit shipments are up, too. So are barrels of oil. But the only thing that matters is revenues. Units are a smokescreen. The only industries that use this unit crap is PCs and Oil services.

There is no chance that unit growth rates will be as high this year, or that revenues will reach IDC's 1-3% growth level. Some, like The Tech Review, are calling for negative unit growth. I am not. Just slow single digits that will be running negative by 4Q. And ASPS dropping like rocks, especially on the business side. BTW, it was not channel stuffing that caused the problem as much as no demand on the more important commercial side of the ledger.

Dell, as the most overpriced stock in the group, will suffer the most during this pc collapse, IMHO.
