I think anyone who's been on this thread long enough knows that when we say X chip is faster than Y chip, we mean clock for clock. "we"? I don't know anyone who says that. That would be idiotic. The only case you can make for PII being faster than PII is that PIII is available at 500 MHz, if you are agreeing that the article is correct. The normal assumption is that the processor is run at its rated frequency. Duh.
