Bill,

Wouldn't rising lease rates signify that the CB's are trying to discourage it borrowing and subsequent shorting of gold??

Seems to me that sending this kind of message would indicate that they feared greater downturns in the gold market and would have an interest in supporting it to prevent a negative impact on other commodity prices..

Why would they raise lease rates if the CB's had an interest in seeing gold go lower??
