<<Wilson gets head out of ass and signs domestic partner??????????>>

That's OK with me as long as he doesn't use his foot or thumb as a replacement.

DaiS,

astra.com

astra.com

Correct my math if it is wrong:

Astra had 1998 MUSE sales totaling 86 million Swedish Kronars

86M Kronars equals about 6.6M lbs Sterling

1 pound Sterling = $1.66 US

So Astra had 1998 MUSE sales of approximately $11M. Not too shoddy considering that England was the only country Astra sold to until the third quarter 1998 when Astra launched MUSE in Sweden, Switzerland, Brazil and Argentina. If Astra could make $11M marketing to only 3 European countries, they should be able to show strong sales as they launch MUSE in the other 12 EU countries.

Janssen actually controls most of the technically European market since they hold marketing rights to the old Eastern block nations and the old Soviet Union countries and Turkey. Here is a list of the non EU countries composing Europe and their respective populations:

Country/population in thousands

1)Russia/146,861
2)Turkey/64,568
3)Ukraine/50,125

13)Croatia/4,672
14)Norway/4,420
15)Turkmenistan/4,298

VLAD, I have considering buying more shares. Like others, I was buying at 6, 5, even 2 1/2 last year. If I believe the fundamentals are close to where they were last Fall, I should buy. In fact, the fundamentals may even be better.

#1 Not running out of cash

#2 Viagra hype decreasing

#3 More public awareness concerning proper usage of Viagra

#4 4 to 5 months closer to something (partner/buyout)

Why am I holding back? Have some cash, and would even be willing to cash in portion of another holding to buy more.

L. Wilson (lack of faith), could he drive this thing into the ground?

Maybe a discussion of what L. Wilson may do that would jeopordize $2 level. What could go wrong from here?

Any help would be appreciated.

Vlad: <<This coming week should be revealing:1)February 24--short interest numbers published 2)February 24--exactly 3 months since the last Viagra body count released by the FDA. New tally due. Now we include a lot of new patients as new international markets have opened. >>

V-man: Two questions for you to ponder:

Can you document that any negative Viagra news has ever had more than a one day effect on the price of VVUS?

Assume that there was never any negative Viagra reports published in the news, do you think the price of VVUS would be lower than it is today?

Bottom-line: As first posted on March 15, 1998 (pre-Viagra approval), I believe the price of VVUS is still primarily related to the level of US MUSE Rx specification and investor perception of its future direction.
