Hoover's Online Announces E-Commerce Merchants Program; Participating Vendors Gain Access to Millions of 'Consumers Who Work'

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Hoover's Online (http://www.hoovers.com), a leading provider of business information on the Internet, today announced the launch of a new e-commerce Merchants Program designed to promote online transactions between vendors and Hoover's audience of millions of Web-savvy professionals.

Hoover's, which has seen its e-commerce revenues increase more than 1,000 percent between the second and fourth quarters of 1998, is now offering a Merchants Program that will connect participating Merchant Partners to the Hoover's audience through a variety of customized e-commerce solutions. Levels of participation range from inclusion in The Store at Hoovers Online (http://www.hoovers.com/hoov/store/storefront.html) to combinations of store placement, special promotion throughout the site and integration within contextually relevant editorial.

"Hoover's Online attracts an audience of educated, tech-savvy business professionals who represent a targeted and valuable demographic for online marketers. The Store at Hoover's Online, which serves as the hub of e-tailing activity on Hoover's, was recently redesigned to highlight vendors in product categories such as books, business reports, software and magazines. Merchants currently participating include Amazon.com, Multex, WinStar Telebase, infoUSA and Bruce Judson.
