Most of this info makes me sick. I've been a member for 3 years and this kind of crap goes on and on in the BB section. There are some outstanding people here at SI, you just have to sift through tons of stinking garbage to find them. Again, welcome.

realmoney, I lurked on the SI boards for a number of months before signing up three weeks ago. Based on what I have observed over the last five or six months, the threads dedicated to specific stocks are most useful when they are first set up and then again when unusual events occur that are related to that specific stock. People are digging for facts and sharing what they find. When nothing is going on related to that specific stock, the threads sometime degenerate into chat rooms. I own NAVR, but I have temporarily given up monitoring the NAVR thread even though there are at least 100 postings on it each day. While I have previously gleaned some very useful information from that thread, there is absolutely nothing to talk about now, except general market conditions which may impact a NetRadio IPO, until NetRadio files its S-1. This thread has generally been an exception, in that the people posting here have been pretty focused and erudite. Misfortune, such as the implosion of WCTI's stock this week, seems to bring out a few individuals who enjoy spending some time with people that are in serious pain. Hence, the "entertainment" of the past several days. Enjoy yourself, this certainly can become an addiction. Now that I have posted a "chatty" message, I think that I will amble over the the NAVR thread.
