I picked this article on Photonics and Optical Networking off the Yahoo! thread:

"New tech frontier growing at the speed of light"

(OT, my paper just had an article on Danish scientists slowing light down to 38 ft per second in an experiment - and all this time I thought it was a constant. I hope this market grows at the vacuum rate of 186,171 Miles/sec!)

... and now vacation calls.

Bruce-a thoughtful post and I don't have any kind of feel for s/t timing so I won't disagree with your conclusions. I did hear the cc differently however on Aranea, the carrier product. My recollection of the reference to the South American utility was Noam's response to being asked to identify FibreDriver customers, not Aranea. The main theme of your post that there is huge potential out there for upcoming products and that this management has brought them to this stage is why I am an investor in the company. The point about the market value of the company being under liquidation value is why I've purchased such an amount at these levels.

Best regards,

Mike

One must remember to calculate MRVC's massive debt before saying the stock is at or near liquidation values. Going up against giants like CSCO and COMS provides no comfort for short or long term investors.

<At the CC, Noam mentioned a large carrier in South America, and clearly indicated there were others he could notname because of non-disclosure agreements.> Once again, when one has nothing to say it is best to hide behind the cloak of non-disclosure agreements. I still remember the so called deal with the Japanese in 1997. What the heck ever became of it; if anything? Why doesn't this problem ever apply to CSCO, COMS, LU? Maybe it's because MRVC being such a great company that it is gets privy to such non-disclosure deals!

I have really had it with this company and it's third class management. These jerks should be let go immediately and replaced with competence.

I fear that this stock could make new 52 weeks low while current management talks their BS talk. Gentlemen it is time to produce or close shop once and for all.

Oh yes and for any doubters out there that think this stock can go to 30 bucks in a hurry just check out the ugly charts. Doesn't matter if it is the 30, 60, 90, 120, or 360 day variety. This stock would be lucky, very lucky to cross 10 anytime soon.

Looking to jump ship as soon as some suckers bid this one up!!

Respectfully,

Dana Adams

Bruce L,

Thanks for your thoughts. You make good points, but I will have to say that management does have something to prove now. Things WERE great for 30 + quarters and cannot be forgotten, but neither can the disaster here in the last six months. It may be possible these guys need someone new in the upper ranks to help them with their revenue up at these higher levels (being bigger now AND still with new products coming online?

I was wondering from anyone here about the Mrvc's terabit product and how it compares to Juniper (which as everyone knows is getting ipsilon type hype currently) ??? I apologize in advance if someone has already gone over this. This post from someone on the CSCO thread mentions Juniper and a couple other terabit companies, but no mention of mrvc??

any thoughts would be appreciated,
