(O-T) How many stocks are "way too many," Monty?

Always curious about this subject, 'cause it's controversial. Might have 36 stocks, but they're in groups. For example, might have 5 biotechs because 2-3 will probably blow up and I'll hit one home run. Some are trades. Some are takeover plays. Some are small caps. Some are for dividends or defensive hedging. Maybe 12-15 are core holdings. You get the idea.

Where does CMGI fit in? Core holding.

Yes , but I consider holding CMGI to be the same as holding about 42( by my last count, varying sizes of internet stocks, so in truth I hold One telecom. co. and 42 internet stocks)
