I also read a comment in forbes, Hoffman said it was because he got a cheap deal on it. Funny that even though he's helped Microsoft so much, he still needs to buy a packaged version. The article talks about how the real threat is Microsoft's price dumping tactics will affect the Database gang, Oracle, Sybase, IBM, Informix. It states that Informix is carefully sidestepping Microsoft but may become just a niche player. Nothing new in this article. Peter Piper (your electronic plumber)
