Excellent post!

You seem to agree with me that oil prices have now fallen too low for even the US. Low oil prices are good for the world economy but one can ahve too much of a good thing. My take is that the US wants low oil , but not the super cheap prices currently extent. Something like $15 per barrel WTI.

We must never forget that Kuwait is even more of a US puppet than the Saudis. Many forger that the 1990 Iraq invasion of Kuwait was triggered by that nation's policy (undoubtedly US inspired) of driving down oil prices to hurt Iraq in the late 1980s. But lately the Kuwait oil minister has been calling for cuts of 1.5 million bpd. Again they would never say that without US approval.
