Not to mention the fact that once the entire world has been provided this equipment (1 trillion dollars later), a new round of buying will start as each competitive business/industry/market/country continues to try to get an edge by transmitting more/faster. Old measures of value are giving way to the "currency" of the ability to move information faster, more accurately, and more efficiently/cheaply. This market will never saturate because there is always a business justification to spend money to do things quicker and cheaper.

So you would have to look at who would displace LU as a provider of the myriad of fiber/wireless/photonic communications needs ahead. They may not grow the stock price 50% per year, but they aren't in the same category as GM, Ford, et, al either. I'll stick with LU for the long haul.
