Paul,

They make a ton of money on Servers and Workstations and Commercial PCs with Intel Inside.

That is true but- nothing would make Mr. Pfeiffer happier than replacing those systems with Compaq's own Alpha and K7 boxes.

Geniuos Pal, <They make a ton of money on Servers and Workstations and Commercial PCs with Intel Inside.>
Certainly. They put a $2000 Intel "inside" to make a
$200,000 products.

Ask your buddy Tony, what are the most
expensive parts of servers? He would tell you that
the redundant hot-swappable power supplies,
hot-swappable RAIDs of SCSI drives, huge memories,
fast NICs, overall engineering and maintainability
means are the value-added areas where the money are
made. Not in the shitty chip that refuses to run
in 4-X configuration.
