<<You seem to be missing the point; ...>>

All of the people you are calling right wing conspirators who've accused clinton of harassment, misconduct, rape, fondling, groping etc. are loyal democratic women in positions of political service to bill clinton.

Deal with it!

Maybe she was embarrassed? Maybe she felt no one would believe her? Maybe she did not want to embarrass her family, husband, children, etc? Maybe she was afraid? Maybe just maybe, she saw what happened to Willey, Flowers, Jones, et al. and decided she wanted to take the easy way out? How's them for starters? JLA

Actually, I responded directly to questions you raised about why the Republicans had not used her affidavit. You didn't like my response, so you are now claiming that I "missed the point". Of course, the article also addressed her rationale for having not gone to the authorities at the time, and for lying earlier. It is certainly plausible that an ambitious young woman in a small southern state should be averse to making charges against an up and coming politician, lest she should become the victim of retaliation. Subsequently, she might well be averse to publicizing a shameful incident. Many rape victims feel as if it is their own fault, because they let the guy in the room, or didn't fight the guy off more aggressively. In any event, she also had a sense that she would be subject to demeaning counter- claims were she to come forward. It was after it seemed futile to try to hide it any longer, and in order to discourage some of the more conjectural stroies, that she came forward. could she be lying? Perhaps. Is it obvious that she is lying? By no means.
