I understand your feelings there. I say only that the American people often come around to the obvious- if it doesn't affect their entitlements, anyway. Now that they accept that clinton is guilty, they will grow weary of clinton lovers blaming anyone but the man himself. As Dipy would say, "keep it up...and go down in 2000...YAAAAAAAY!" It's hard to long feel much animosity toward a messenger after you've accepted his message as truth. The only sustained outcry against Starr and Republicans is from the left, where the dizzying blow they've suffered has left them scarcely aware of the significance of clintons perceived guilt. Let them rail. This Presidential perp won't get much of a reasonable doubt from everyday Americans from now on- not even in this Broadrick case.

For the record, I don't really think this story will matter much one way or the other in 2000. But it won't hurt the Right. No one is surprised that a political party tries to make hay over the failings of it's foe. Given the understanding of his guilt and the tiny moral ratings, any "backlash" is thoroughly balanced at worst.
