Brian, Tell the fund managers who bought long bonds at 4.75% that the rates on bonds are steady. Ask the currency traders who bought dollars at 142 to the Yen. Uh, read the financial page now and then. <g>

Brian, you are missing one obvious fact. You get to be a guru by seeing things that nobody else see. That's why Burke knows that the money supply numbers are dangerous, and that's why he knows computer revenues are down.

That special insight(which requires a secret decoder ring to perceive)is used to spawn a following, and you can hand down words of wisdom to the faithful on your own thread. They will dutifully report back that whatever happens is consistent with your Burke's view.

What is Burke's world view? The economy is going to hell in a handbasket. Greenspan is in part responsible for the problem by supplying liquidity to the markets. The tech sector is imploding. The sky is falling ...
