El: I heard Faber myself. I don't believe that Faber talked to EP one an one. I would concede that he may have been listening in to some kind of meeting. I don't think EP answers Faber's calls especially when they are about what Dan Niles said about DELL. If the call was about AV etc as you suppose, why didn't Faber have anything to say about that or anything else. He left the impression that he had talked to EP about what was happening to DELL.

Maybe you should e-mail Faber and ask him. I'm not that interested. However if you can prove that you are right not to have any question in your mind about it I might reconsider. But only might.

PS Your memory was almost correct. He said "I would hate to say he was gloating - but - yes he was gloating a little bit....." This is probably what Rosalie told Faber because she said almost the same thing last night on TV and she was at the London Conference and she was analysing CPQ and DELL for CNBC.
