Redhat Linux is great and they are thinking about going public. At least their company reps have said that on Digital Jam (CnnFn). I believe that Linux has already entered the stage through the back door of internet server o/s, and it's great connectivity to the most popular web server. This system has been steadily migrating through IT professionals in many areas other than internet and intranet/extranet areas too. I personally have Redhat on a box of my own and love it. For now I believe you are correct in watching for linux software shops for investment. If you know of any worthwhile prospects, I for one would be interested in hearing of them. Drew.
