You're probably right Sam. For a CEO, that's not exorbitant. And... the debt is the key question. The letter from Rice posted on the thread which was gleaned from an SEC filing was promising news from my perspective. I must say that I've felt very singed by Abacan. Given my experience, I cannot say that I would be terribly optimistic about the future of the company. Only time and management can tell.

BTW, in Rice's letter he referred to reducing expenses to $250,000 per month. I wonder where the rest of that cash goes? Any ideas?

What about all the other salaries? Did Abacan need so many guys on the payroll at such high prices? I agree they need a President. The pay seems a little high, but who wants the job anyway - so I will agree with you on his pay.

When you say you are "not a large enough shareholder that any one talks" to you, what do you mean? Do you believe that since you do not have as many shares as someone else you are not entitled to the same information on your investment? I remember you stating some time ago that for you, you had a lot at stake in Abacan.
