etc...

FOR $599. Must be a piece of junk! <GGG>
Just try to get one. Sold out.

Hey, at least these things have Celerons! But, where's the monitor???

>>>4.3 gig (Grey market <G>) HD<<<

So now we have the big PC vendors...Dell, Compaq, HP, IBM, etc., then there's the White boxmakers, and now the Grey boxmakers!

In a previous post, you asked what's a grey market Seagate. Nothing specifically about Seagate or the HD makers, but grey market is a term used around the industry for any and all components that have "been around the block" once or twice, have been therefore handled more than once or twice and may have, e.g., what we call "wounded" chips in them from ESD due to handling without a wrist strap, dropped on the floor, whatever. Wounded or dropped components are much more prone to catastrophic failure later.

Hey, it's all statistics and probability. PCs made out of older, possibly used and abused components add up to a less reliable machine. That's not saying the eboxes are, but the older the components in them are, the more likely they will be. Caveat Emptor. You buying one?

Oh, some 4.3 GB drives are going underground now too as the 6's, 8's, 9's and up get more popular. Believe it or not.
