Thanks for the post, Uncle Frank. Concerning broadband, I assume you are aware of the AOL/Bell Atlantic deal for DSL starting this summer. That is not the final answer, but it starts AOL down the right path. Cable will be the eventual winner, but Case still has a couple of years to figure out how to play that technology before there are enough subscribers to worry about. I suspect the solution might be a Time Warner/Road Runner deal, althought there might be an ATHM partnership as well.

I agree, I talk with my brother all the time in colorado usig the IM. I love it. The only thing is I wish it was cordless. I am always using our only phone line. I bought aol at 28.71 per share after this split on monday. So I am thrilled to own it. I bought it in april of 98. In april I only bought 10 share being right out of college.
Now I will have 40 after monday.
This stock might even pass 100 by the end of march and the with a cable deal hit 200 within another month is possible and then 250 by the end of the year with another split.
So my 1150 investment might be worth 10,000 by the end of 98. I could happen and might not be to unrealitsic. Just think I turned 1150 into 10,000 in like 18 months. Well I think it would be possible to see it grow a little slower to like 75,000 -100,000 over the next 5 years. I'm telling you we will see AOL split up into 10 different companies in 15 years. We will you watch. This is the end all future of society.
