Yesterday or Sunday's New York Times Magazine has an article on Linux. Hubby got all excited about it. He tells me the number of Linux users has increased dramatically, but Linux will not appeal to the majority of folks who buy PCs because they buy PCs for applications. For instance, we could not run Turbo Tax on Linux because no one has written an application for it. But the future is out there for those who want to write those applications!!!!!! PS: If you want to read the article, most likely a good newspaper and bookstore will have yesterday's New York Times.
