Thanks for the news. I always seem to hear about this stuff from someone else. He has been on major network news shows to talk about the VAD several times starting about 1995. But its always been, "Just wait till next year". But this time its different. Next year is now. Publicity should help World Heart, since their device is a front runner also as far as I can tell. Artificial hearts of any kind have been a "holy grail" for so long that many people thought it would never happen. Investor interest is on the move. It ain't no Internet, but to some people it's far more important.

Dr. DeBakey will be featured in story on NBC Dateline on Tuesday Feb.23. I think the story will be centered around the VAD. I'm not sure though. Implant number eight has been successfully completed. It was a female school teacher in Germany. She is doing fine as of now. I hope the thread becomes more active with all the news coming out including FDA approval of TCI's and Novacor's devices. Artificial assist devices are real, its just a matter of figuring out who the winners will be.
