I read an article this weekend in a newspaper, don't remember if it was the Arizona Republic or IBD, that said that the multi-processor configuration Pentium-III Xeon-based servers will cross the 2,000 MFLOP barrier and will be classified for export as supercomputers. Next year the 800-MHz Pentium-III will cross that barrier and the lowly desktop PC will be classified as a supercomputer.

The same article said that a Pentium-II notebook (don't remember the Mhz they used) had the same MFLOP rating as the Cray XMP2 of yesteryear did.

Thanks for posting this article. I had not read it. Mr. Alger has been a steadfast bull for quite some time and he has been sticking with those mentioned cos.

Glad to hear that he mentioned AOL. I heard on Moneyline tonight that someone on there had AOL also as a stock pick.

Would be great if the NAZ would move up to its old high again.
