Tomorrow's event...

has me kinda scatching my head. All of the retail release dates for Voodoo3 still say end of March. Now if 3d webmasters saw the cards rolling off the line last week (according to AGN3d) then where are these cards getting shipped? Are they being stored for a bulk shipment or being sent directly to OEMs? I guess it's possible that AGN3d jumped the gun with that comment, but then why would 3dfx impose an NDA on the release of news information? After all, what could they possibly say about Voodoo3 that we don't already know?

More questions than answers, but I guess I'll find out in a few hours.

Pat

Pat,

I know about that news server. Not as easy to access as a web-based BBS. I've used Usenet since before there was a web, but the average user would be much better served by opening a web-based area on their site.

Also (and I sent this in a note to Jason) I have an issue with an official 3Dfx person posting in open chat areas where there are tons of rumours and speculation. Heck, I'm an accountant. maybe I'm just too paranoid about disclosure and even the appearance that anything here is official.
