At the risk of sounding too simplistic, I wonder if a large part of what's going on with I* at this point isn't typical of many *concept* companies? I think all of us who occasionally go outside of the *mainstream* stocks have seen this before:

Initial interest in the concept is strong and the stock rises. As with many (most?) truly new technological products, bugs pop up and time to production stretches out, consuming capital and the patience of the original investors. Word starts to spread that there are *problems*; that the new product might never be a success. The early enthusiasts become discouraged and start to sell. The stock price dwindles down, down, down as expenses continue to be incurred beyond the plan. The ability of management is called into question. The stock becomes an outstanding buy for those willing to take a risk when doom and gloom appear to be at a peak. The company tweaks it's initial strategy. If they've made the right decisions, sales volume increases and marketing efforts build on the initial momentum. Eventually the product is in full-scale production and profits are realized. "Show me the money" investors get on board now. The investment proves to have been an exceptional one for the early holders and a very good one for those who purchase their shares later, as the operation generates growing and substantial profits for years into the future.

Is this I* and G* today?

Regards.
