Glenn,
There are some good reasons to consider AMAT. I just got out of some puts that I bought based on the sector strength. Though I got out with a couple of dollars, buying puts on AMAT was a stupid thing to do. They have one of the prettier charts out there right now and have apparently given very positive guidance (Judy or Puddleglum might be able to elaborate more on this). AMAT broke two triple tops in a row and pulled back for a nice entry point.

I am still somewhat cautious going long on any stocks at this point, but when the NYSEBP turns positive, AMAT would be on the list.
