re ATHM's $400mm forecast:

Goldman Sachs had ATHM doing $179mm in 1999 and XCIT is supposed to do about $229mm so that is $408mm right there. $2b by 2002 implies about 77% compounded growth if we go by 1998 actuals to $2b in 2002. This is roughly in-line with consensus (actually a little below).


BTW:
While DOCSIS modems have been anticipated for many months, on its 4Q '98 conference call with analysts held on February 19th, Cox Communications said CableLabs has told them that the first DOCIS modems will be certified on March 1st.
