taxman: Considering that MSFT engineer always work around the clock (can't think of a time they have not, actually) I don't think this indicates Windows 2000 is behind schedule. I am curious what Beta these "corporate customers" are testing. If it is Windows NT 5.0 Beta 2, the most recent semi-public Beta, then their complaints should be taken with a gain of salt as I believe that was released last October (or sooner, can't remember off hand) I now I tried it out late last year at any rate. As far as I know MS makes new builds of NT (Windows 2000) every night and the testers try and make it crash, then the next day the developers fix the bugs, rebuild the code, etc. However, these build are only released to the public on occasion - as far as I know there have only been two public NT 5.0 betas so far so I believe the April Beta will be a better indication of how close it is to being ready to ship. I know that Beta 3 for Windows 98 was essentially ready to go so let's hope the same will be said about the Windows 2000 April Beta. Anyone know otherwise please post.

Mr Taxman. You are qasking questions like you are a trader, and once we answer the questions, you'll think you have all the answers, and start selling people the wrong product for the wrong reason. Just cause you read it, doesn't mean it matters. Who cares it was 2 years late. It was not. It was 2 years late from the PR launch date, but I would bet big money that the development mgrs are only months out. That is how this business works....or did you not read that somewhere before?
