jimmyooooo "Also Tony I know you know the answers to those questions!!!" Actually, James, I don't. I personally have never used a Nextel phone. I've been overseas for the better part of four years [on and off, mostly on]. I have been doing quite alot of work with GSM, and we are getting ready for higher speed data [38.4 kbps -> 54 -> 100+kbps] The existing GSM data rate is 9600, and it is very robust. I have a 1 hour drive home and many times, sitting in the back of the taxi, I can keep the link up the entire way. [fortunatly I don' have to pay the bill!!] The higher data rates in GSM come with a bandwidth price. 8 users on one GSM channel at 9600 translate into two at 38.4kbps. I'm curious about how iDen deals with it. Thanks Tony
