I have heard SEC guys can trade stocks but must hold for 6 months minimum. I don't think they can short

SEC investigators are not allowed to trade stocks ..according to my info...maybe in a blind trust or something..

My wife used to work for the SEC and we had severe limitations placed on us in connection with investments (both of us). She wasn't barred from investing, but there were disclosure requirements and lengthy holding periods imposed.

Glad she's outa there....
