The issue is this: Ron, I don't "convert" gold into currency. I use gold inSTEAD of currency. The gold backed fiat is YOUR debate, NOT MINE! It is YOU who thinks I convert gold to currency inorder to conduct my business and personal affairs. Nothing could be further from the truth, which I've also illustrated for you in your more congenial postings of the past.

I've never advocated a gold standard linked to dollar position, at least not in this lifetime. It'll never happen.

Instead I've stated clearly that the gold standard is still in vogue, currently employed globally, promulgated and practiced by the more than 600 roster of global central bankers, etc.

It's original design and purpose, (BTW, articulated much more circuitously which you obviously would relish in a WSJ article in my personal archives and posted earlier upon this thread as stated cut and pasted)

Just because you think you can goad me into posting my previous documentation because you don't want to look for it, is NOT my problem. It's yours, you lazy a/h!!

We can't revert to a gold standard that is never been left. Are you too thick to grasp this concept of fact? I've never seen such a blind, argumentative ignoramous in modern recollection.

In fact, because we as a nation have both defaulted upon our debt obligations not once but twice in our history, we have slipped to second place behind Canada's impeccable gold standard history.

I'm was a debater once upon a time. I just refuse to regurgitate for your particular pleasure what I've covered before. I've told you in my most recent post where to go for advanced, articulated, written answers to your questions. I figured it would make you much happier because you couldn't then accuse me of personal slant.

RE: insulted you? IMPOSSIBLE!

Go look for your debate playmates somewhere else, Carville. You aren't gonna get instant replayed prior arguments from me. I don't care how expensive your PC is, or how unlimited your bank account.

This is not a debate, to me, Ron. Don't you get it. It is a LIFESTYLE CHOICE! GOLD is real life, 24hour a day, 7 days a week, 365 a year money to me. (366 days if it is a leap year) Tis a conclusion I drew after I researched the issues for myself many many years ago, and then proceeded to put into practice, personally and professionally.

You'll never come to any conclusions because you delight in endless engagement. You are a classic Eric Berne "eternal game player." I am not. You seek debate points, not paradigm shifts.

A wise person told me once upon a time, many many years ago:
"a person who constantly examines his/her foundations will never get their house built upon a solid one."

I've built my gold foundation.
I'm NOT going to help you build yours.
I feel not one WHIT of compunction of global community obligation to do so.

The fact that I refuse to help you calculate YOUR primary plumb corner "gold" stakes is not my concern.

Now quitcherbitching, call Prechter or Harry Browne.
I'm calling your "debating" bluff.

Oh, and speaking of debate? Get serious!
Me and my teammates won all our debating tourneys in Class 5A high school for 3 years running during those years. Might have something to do with my big brother's coaching, him being his debate team captain and all. Jim's debate record resulted in not only coaching his little sister's team, but in culminated in winning a national debate contest in 1935, highest prize. The prize: an all expenses paid trip to Harry T Truman's oval office with our Dad.(His opponent, losing team debate captain btw was the now deceased Charles Kauralt, of Sunday MORNING fame.

I spotted your "style" from a mile away. I outgrew that debate game mentality back in highschool 33 years ago. Oh, and FWIW, I chose NOT to pursue a law career for the very same reason. I GREW UP!
