Do you know anything about the Portola from Intel? I seem to remember something about it being five times faster than the i740. I bet it runs hot, too!

what is your opinion on Jalapeno, where instead of a complex and large graphics chip running at fairly low clock-speed, they have a simple chip with few transistors running very fast (and reusing some of the CPU components like L2 cache and memory controller).

Do you think Jalapeno can stay competitive with dedicated graphics chips?
