Well; given this; I should declare downtown at the Washington Post that I was raped by Clinton as a teenager. I'm sure that I can research and find out when he was in town back then for some something or other and I'll say that he told me he was sick of women and wanted to have a nice boy for a change. You all would totally believe it without question. It would confirm why he was for gays in the military. I think we should have an accuser a week till the 2000 election.

As I used to try to explain to Shue, even in the law there are various standards. In a civil case, one finds for or against the plaintiff based upon the preponderance of evidence. The standard for informal opinion is not exactly strict. In addition, many things that would be excludable at trial are perfectly legitimate to take into account in an informal setting. For example, the circumstances under which a prosecutor can introduce prior bad acts are very narrowly circumscribed. But in the court of public opinion, anything that might help to assess character is fair game.
