I'd qualify it to 'low-cost' producers (eg. Stillwater) and any exploration companies with good prospects for a discovery (eg. HLM-A) should have a good year. I'm not aware of any of the South African producers being listing on a North American exchange, but you should be able to purchase them none-the-less through a broker (commissions will be significantly higher on international transactions). I'd advise you do some comparative analysis re. Amplats, Impala, and others - current cost of production and planned mines over the next 5 years (grade, tonnage, cost, cash position, etc.) are noteworthy criteria.

Take a look at Platexco, PTX on the TSE. Their flagship property is right in the heart of the bushveld complex of S. Africa and has 19 million ounces. This is the only junior with property that intersect S. Africa's 2 PGE bearing reefs and is a likely takeover candidate by Impala or Amplats. Last time Platinum traded up to $40, this was a $7 stock.

Producers Amplats (AAPTY) and Implats (IMPAY), and refiner Johnson Matthey (JMPLY) trade on the pink sheets (or equivalent) in the US. Stockmaster gives some quotes, but usually your broker has to phone in for current market makers' quotes. Goldsheet has information on others trading outside of US.
