Drew, a very OLD story I and several others on both sides of the issue have posted here several times. Try to understand that there is a difference between units and revenues. If you sell 10 for $100 one year and 12 for $75 the next year, did you do better?

Drew, you will never convince MB with data. He is a True Believer. You will notice that he has not backed off of his sophomoric interpretation of seasonality.

In interpreting the numbers from IDC we need to remember that shipments were artificially depressed during the beginning of the year as CPQ, IBM and HWP were working off inventory gluts. And since IDC and other measure shipments out of the factories (rather than into the hand of consumers) it is easy to imagine what happened. Unfortunately, it is impossible to measure exactly the level of distortion this approach creates in these kinds of conditions.
