RE: Screening out the replies to RR

Cameron,

Unsubscribing to the list throws the baby out with
the bathwater. When it doesn't get derailed by another
RR attack, this thread provides very valuable information
about the current status of Iomega. For me, at least,
it's worth the daily check. Alas, though, I'm too busy
to be able to read hundreds of posts a day. (I usually
don't get home from work until about 8:30 p.m., and I
do most of my reading then or first thing in the morning.)
I don't read any of RR's posts, since I already know
what they're going to say. I now pretty much already
know also exactly what all the replies to him are
going to say, so I'd like to skip them, too. Since
the SI people don't include the recipient's name in
the bulleted subject list of postings, however, and
since people are unwilling to put an RR or non-RR
tag line at the beginning of each message, I end
up downloading dozens and dozens of utterly predictable
responses to you-know-who's drivel. SI could solve the
problem easily enough by including name of both sender
AND recipient in the bulleted subject listings, but
they haven't seen fit to do so yet. (ARE YOU LISTENING,
SI PROVIDERS?)

Consequently, I'm with Edwik! I'll cheerfully pay
for a new version of Browsemaster that includes the
ability to exclude messages from AND to certain
addresses. It's simply a matter of not wasting my
time.

Cheers, Tom (long IOM)

including the "stealth ad" by Mr. Richards on this thread, portraying himself as a potential customer to those who looked no further, when, in fact, he wrote the software

Cameron,
Yes, I did write the software. Sorry to all offended by my stealth ad techniques, it was not my intent to make myself look like a customer, but I didn't make that clear in my post.

By the way, I love those quotes, Cameron. I am a regular reader of the Iomega thread.

Regards,
Craig

Cam, It's just that some days I don't have a lot of time. When pressed for time, I want to learn anything new about the stock I'm interested in, and not waste time on some overposting, axe-grinding, (or hedge-fund sponsored) weasel(s) whose diatribes are as regular as the tides. This tool was made for the RR's, Vanni's etc of SI.

How can you be against a simple tool that increases productivity?
